Treatment of Medicare Part C days in the calculation of a hospital's Medicare disproportionate patient percentage

On February 21, CMS issued Change Request (CR) 13294, Change Request (CR) to Implement the Medicare Program Final Action: Treatment of Medicare Part C Days in the Calculation of a Hospital’s Medicare Disproportionate Patient Percentage, to provide guidance for the treatment of Medicare Part C days in the calculation of a provider's Medicare disproportionate share hospital adjustment. 

This CR provides guidance to MACs on how to address Medicare cost reports including original Notice of Program Reimbursement (NPR) currently on hold, reopenings on hold, and remanded Provider Reimburse Review Board (PRRB) appeals.
