Proposed LCDs are new policies or revisions to existing policies that involve a substantive change to existing LCDs. First Coast is required by the CMS to provide a 45-day public comment period on proposed LCDs. Open meetings
Open meetings are for the purpose of discussing the review of the evidence and the rationale for proposed LCDs that are in the 45-day public comment period. The open meeting is not a forum for discussing specific claims; or for the submission of new drugs, indications, or marketing of forthcoming drugs or medical devices.
